Finding solutions, together, for a better life
As a licensed therapist with over 30 years of experience, I, Jeffrey C. Anglin, have dedicated my career to helping individuals overcome addiction and trauma. Through my practice, Morningstar Counseling, I aim to provide a safe and supportive environment where clients can share their struggles and work towards a healthier, more fulfilling life.
My Journey
Growing up in Columbus, Ohio, I always felt the impact of my father's struggles with alcoholism. His journey towards recovery and ultimately, his ability to stop drinking when I was just six years old, had a profound impact on my life. This personal experience reinforced my passion for helping others overcome addiction. My journey in mental health began in 1988, working as a therapist in a community mental health center. Over the years, I have had the privilege of running substance abuse programs, serving as the Administrator of a public psychiatric hospital, and even founding the first 24-hour walk-in clinic for substance abuse and mental health in the state of Florida.
My Approach
As a Board Certified Addictions Professional, I understand that every individual's journey is unique. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms or behaviors, I take a holistic approach to therapy. By exploring the underlying causes of addiction and trauma, I empower individuals to break free from the cycle of self-destructive patterns and behaviors. My philosophy is simple: by understanding the life strategies that are working for us and those that are not, we can begin to make positive changes that lead to a more fulfilling life.
Services
At Morningstar Counseling, I offer a range of addiction counseling services designed to support individuals in their journey towards recovery. These services include:
- Addiction/Trauma: Working with individuals struggling with addiction and trauma, I use evidence-based approaches to help individuals overcome their struggles and rebuild their lives.
Fees and Insurance
My fee for a 50-minute session is $150. To make treatment accessible to as many people as possible, a sliding scale is offered. Patients play a significant role in determining how much they can pay. Those who can pay more make it possible for others to receive the care they need. Payment may be made with cash, check or credit card and is due at the time of service. While I do not accept insurance, patients may be eligible for reimbursement from their health insurance provider.
