Re-awaken the belief that it can be good again.
I was born and raised in Littleton, Colorado - a place that holds a special place in my heart. The beauty of the Rocky Mountains and the people who call this place home inspire me every day. Life has led me back to raise my own family in the same stomping grounds, and I feel a deep sense of connection to this community.
When I'm not working, you can find me exploring the outdoors. There's something incredibly grounding and rejuvenating about hiking through the wilderness, breathing in the fresh mountain air. Equally fulfilling is spending time around a bonfire on a back porch with loved ones, sharing stories and laughter.
My faith has profoundly shaped my worldview, and while it's woven through my beliefs and actions, it's not something I impose on others. I'm open to discussing it further if you're interested. My true passion lies in being a guide for others on their own journeys of healing and self-discovery.
What I Offer
For the past decade, I've had the privilege of building a private practice here in Denver, working with individuals seeking counseling and guidance. My approach is rooted in compassion, empathy, and a deep understanding of the human experience. I believe that everyone has the capacity for growth and healing, and I strive to create a safe and supportive space for individuals to explore their challenges, develop new perspectives, and ultimately live more fulfilling lives.
My experience spans a variety of therapeutic settings. I've worked with individuals struggling with substance abuse and domestic violence through organizations like the National Institute for Change and Genesis Counseling, providing both individual and group therapy. This experience has equipped me with specialized skills and knowledge in addressing complex trauma and supporting those who have experienced significant adversity.
Licensing & Training
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). I am also a DVOMB certified Domestic Violence therapist, demonstrating my commitment to serving this population with sensitivity and expertise. As part of my ongoing professional development, I am also EMDR trained, utilizing this evidence-based therapy to help clients process and heal from traumatic experiences.
My approach to therapy is guided by a trauma-informed lens, recognizing that past experiences of trauma can significantly impact present-day functioning and well-being. I strive to create a safe and understanding environment where clients feel empowered to share their stories and work through their challenges.
Beyond Counseling
Prior to my counseling career, I had the opportunity to mentor adolescents and adults through Young Life, a non-profit organization dedicated to reaching young people with the love of Christ. I also spent five years as a Backpacking Guide in the Rocky Mountain region, leading groups of adolescents, adults, and families on wilderness expeditions. These experiences taught me the importance of building connections, fostering resilience, and embracing the transformative power of nature.
My Commitment to You
As a counselor, I am dedicated to walking alongside my clients, offering support, guidance, and encouragement every step of the way. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, and I strive to create a partnership based on trust, respect, and mutual understanding.
In an increasingly polarized world, I find myself drawn to seeking peace, building bridges, promoting healing, and advocating for stability. My goal is to empower individuals to navigate life's challenges with greater resilience, compassion, and hope.
