Dr. Dena Ray, a licensed clinical psychologist, has been dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate their way to fulfilling lives since 1988. With a deep understanding of how our environment and experiences interact with our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, Dr. Ray has developed a unique approach to therapy that is both compassionate and effective.

Meet Dr. Dena Ray

Dr. Ray received her PhD and Masters in Clinical Psychology from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, and her BA in Psychology from Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, New York. She completed her clinical internship at the Veterans Administration Outpatient Clinic in Boston, Massachusetts, and her clinical fellowship at McLean Hospital in Belmont, Massachusetts. Dr. Ray has also served as a Clinical Instructor in Psychiatry/Assistant Attending Psychologist at Harvard University Medical School in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Dr. Ray has published articles on stress, pain, aging, and attitude change, and she regularly attends continuing education seminars and workshops to ensure that she stays current with the latest approaches and techniques in her field. Her hobbies include biking, yoga, and creating stone and rock sculptures, and she is certified by Dog B.O.N.E.S. to incorporate therapy dogs into her counseling sessions.
