New Life Counseling Center

At New Life Counseling Center, we believe that everyone deserves a chance at a healthier, more productive life. Our mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of children, youth, and adults in the South Lafourche community by providing faith-based counseling and resources for various issues. We understand that life can sometimes seem overwhelming and unmanageable, which is why we offer a range of services designed to help individuals face everyday challenges in a more constructive manner.

Our Services

We provide pre-marital, marriage, and family counseling to help individuals build and maintain healthy relationships. Many of the ways we maintain and enjoy healthy relationships are learned skills, and we can help you acquire these skills. Additionally, we offer counseling for a wide variety of issues such as depression, anxiety, stress management, grief, communication building, parenting skills, spiritual issues, intimacy and relational problems, divorce recovery, emotional regulation, anger, premarital counseling, addictions, social skill development, self-control, overeating, time management, financial stress, and life management.

Our standard substance abuse program is designed to help individuals overcome addiction. The program includes requirements such as a minimum of six individual or family sessions, six substance abuse education classes, an early recovery skills group, a relapse prevention group, and random drug screens. We also provide assessment using the SASSI (Substance Abuse Subtle Screening Inventory) and notify courts or probation officers of failed or refused screens. Participants must attend a minimum of once every two weeks, and we provide progress reports and attendance updates to courts or probation officers.

If you're looking for a way to build a better life for yourself or your family, we invite you to contact us. Our office hours are Monday through Thursday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Counseling sessions are available by appointment only, so please call us at (985) 632-7797 to schedule your appointment. In case of a mental health emergency, please dial 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
