At Georgetown Counseling Services, we believe that everyone deserves to live a happy, healthy life. Our mental health therapy practice serves children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples in the Scott County and surrounding areas. Our mission is to provide quality mental health services to individuals of all ages, helping them overcome their challenges and reach their full potential.
Our Services
We offer a range of services to address a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety and depressive disorders, adjustment disorders, attention-related disorders, social/communication disorders, and trauma. Our therapists use evidence-based treatments such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
Our Therapists
Our team of licensed therapists is dedicated to providing individualized care to each client. Our therapists have extensive experience working with individuals, couples, and families, and are trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches. We believe in the importance of building strong relationships with our clients and are committed to providing a safe, confidential, and compassionate environment for all.
Our Services
We offer in-person therapy sessions in both our Georgetown and Frankfort offices, as well as telehealth services for those who prefer online sessions. Our hours of operation vary by therapist, but we are available Monday through Friday, evenings, and weekends.
History
Georgetown Counseling Services, LLC was founded in July 2016 by Kim Johnson, MSW, LCSW. Kim is a native of Georgetown and has lived in the community for most of her life. She saw a need for quality mental health services in the area and founded our practice to address those needs.
Insurance Acceptance
We accept a variety of insurances, including Humana, Anthem, United Health Care, Optum, Beacon, Cigna, Aetna, Aetna EAP, Compsych, Ceridian, Lifeworks, Wellcare, Anthem Medicaid, MaxWell EAP, Caresource, and GEHA. We are committed to making our services accessible to everyone, regardless of their insurance status.
