My Background and Approach to Therapy

I'm Sheryl E. Kool, a licensed mental health counselor with over 30 years of experience guiding individuals, couples, and adolescents towards lasting change and fulfillment. Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, I earned my degree in Music Therapy from Emmanuel College and went on to receive additional training in American Sign Language interpretation. My background in music, combined with my fluency in ASL, allows me to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and communication styles.

My therapeutic approach is based on a deep respect for each client's unique experiences and struggles. I believe the client-counselor relationship is fundamental to the healing process. Through attentive listening, empathy, and collaborative exploration, we can work together to identify and process pain, develop coping skills, and unlock your inner potential for growth.
