Corrina Rinella's journey into the field of social work began with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of Montana in 2000. After completing her undergraduate studies, Corrina relocated to Anchorage, Alaska, where she has been working in the mental health field and enjoying the great outdoors ever since. Corrina went on to earn her Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Alaska in Anchorage in 2005. Throughout her career, Corrina has provided a range of human services, including wilderness therapy, community needs assessments, research on best practices for treating co-occurring mental illness and chemical dependency, and clinical work in outpatient and residential treatment settings.
Specializing in Complex PTSD and Trauma-Informed Care
After working in the addictions treatment field for over a decade, Corrina expanded her practice to focus on treating trauma and its associated symptoms, including complex PTSD, dissociative disorders, depression, anxiety, and obsessive compulsive disorder. Corrina understands the devastating impact trauma can have on an individual's life, and her approach is rooted in compassion and a deep commitment to helping her clients heal. With a specialization in trauma-informed care, Corrina uses evidence-based therapies, such as EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and mindfulness-based techniques, to empower her clients in their recovery.
