New Hope Counseling Center is a place where individuals, couples, and families can find healing, restoration, and equipment through faith-based counseling. We are committed to providing a safe and supportive environment where our clients can work towards a life of wholeness and hope. Our mission is to serve the students of Alaska Christian College and the communities of the Kenai Peninsula.

Our Team
Our team of licensed professionals is dedicated to providing the best possible care to our clients. We are committed to ongoing education and professional development to ensure that we are providing the most up-to-date and evidence-based practices.
Debbie Hamilton, MA, LPC, is the Executive Director of New Hope Counseling Center. She is a licensed professional counselor with the State of Alaska and has worked as a social worker in a foster family agency for seven years in California. Debbie has been working as a counselor in Alaska since 2001 and has experience in issues related to sexual abuse, chemical dependency, grief and loss, family, and spiritual matters.
Ted Mole, M.Div., M.A., L.P.C., C.D., is a licensed professional counselor with the State of Alaska. His areas of interest in counseling include family and marriage counseling, trauma/crisis counseling, sexual or physical abuse issues, chemical dependency, ADD, anxiety, depression, and spiritual concerns. Ted works with children, teens, and adults.
Peggy Barkman, MA, LPC, is a licensed professional counselor with the State of Alaska. She holds a Master's degree in professional counseling from Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA. Peggy has experience in issues related to sexual abuse, chemical dependency, grief and loss, family, and spiritual matters.
Jimmy Ward, M.Div., M.S, is the Assistant Director of NHCC. He has experience in pastoral care and counseling and is committed to providing compassionate and professional care to each of our clients.
Location
New Hope Counseling Center is located in Soldotna, Alaska, on the campus of Alaska Christian College. We are open Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, and offer evening and weekend appointments by request.
