Our Story

Kim Kallmann, the founder of Kallmann Counseling and Consulting, is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Certified Addiction Counselor (CADC), and Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT). Kim holds a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Lewis University, with a specialty in children and adolescents, and a Bachelor's in Social Work from Bradley University. With over a decade of experience in the field, Kim has worked in various settings, including Maryville Academy, the Scott Nolan Center, and the Center for Alcohol and Drug Services. Her extensive training and expertise enable her to provide comprehensive care for individuals struggling with a range of mental health concerns, from anxiety and mood disorders to addiction and trauma.

**Tricia Dwyer, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), is also an integral part of our team. With a Bachelor's Degree in psychology from the University of Iowa and a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northeastern Illinois University, Tricia has completed formal training in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Her extensive experience in working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness diagnoses, as well as those struggling with anxiety, depression, and interpersonal issues, further solidifies our commitment to providing compassionate and effective care.

+ Kallmann Counseling hourly rate is $180 for initial assessment and $150 for sessions after the first session.

  • How long does counseling take?

+ Counseling duration depends on the nature of the problem and the identified goals. We work closely with clients to develop measurable goals and build skills for use outside of sessions.

  • What can I expect from the first session?

+ During the first session, we will conduct an assessment to gather information about presenting problems, life stressors, family history of mental health/substance abuse issues, and client history of mental illness or substance abuse. The session concludes with the development of goals and recommendations.

  • How often do sessions take place?

+ The frequency of sessions differs from client to client. Most clients attend sessions on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
