The need for quality mental, emotional, and spiritual care today is undeniable. At Lowcountry Pastoral Counseling Center (LPCC), we strive to provide a unique setting for the integration of one's faith journey in the healing process. Our affirmation of spiritual values and use of affordable fees make LPCC a unique provider of counseling services. We are committed to providing the highest quality pastoral counseling services at an affordable cost to all persons regardless of race, religious affiliation, economic status, age, sexual orientation, or national origin.

Pastoral Counseling: A Unique Approach

Pastoral counseling is especially helpful to those who consider their faith and spirituality to be vital in their lives. At LPCC, traditional counseling is combined with the resources of faith in helping clients cope with life's difficult challenges. Our counselors respect each client's personal faith journey and are trained to see persons for whom faith is central to their lives as well as those who claim no faith orientation.

Our Staff: Highly Trained and Licensed Therapists

The staff members of LPCC are highly trained therapists who are equipped to help with many concerns. Each therapist holds a master's or doctorate degree in counseling and are licensed by the state. In addition, each therapist helps clients to integrate their spiritual life into the therapeutic process. Our staff includes:

Faith-Based Counseling: Inviting Faith into the Counseling Process

Clients are invited to bring their faith to the counseling process. At LPCC, we see faith and the spiritual life as vital elements in the healing, growth, and change process. Our therapists are respectful of each client's faith journey and encourage the integration of this critical part of life in the therapeutic process.

Private, Non-Profit Setting: Affordable Rates and Community Support

The LPCC is a non-profit, faith-based, ecumenical ministry sponsored through a cooperative effort of faith congregations, individuals, and organizations. Through this generous support, we are able to provide excellent counseling services at affordable rates. Our mission is to provide quality, faith-based counseling, life enrichment events, and training to the Lowcountry community by licensed counselors in a private, non-profit setting.

Positive: Long-term clients have reported receiving heartfelt and loving care from LPCC, with all counselors being insightful and supportive.
Negative: Some clients may experience difficulties with communication and follow-up, leading to uncertainty and potentially negative outcomes.

Overall Impressions

LPCC (Loving People Care Center) has reportedly provided exceptional care and services to its clients, according to one reviewer. Gracen Jennings Watts, who has been using LPCC's services since 2008, has consistently been satisfied with the heartfelt and loving care they have received. Every counselor they have met has been insightful and supportive, leading them to recommend LPCC to anyone in need.

On the other hand, Kurt Rogers had a more mixed experience with LPCC. Although his counselor was nice, he was disappointed with the lack of follow-up and communication. He mentions that his counselor did not stick to her initial plan and did not provide updates on their sessions. This lack of communication could have been due to a mix-up or other factors, but it led to Rogers feeling uncertain about the outcome of his treatment.

Comparison of Reviews

The two reviews highlight the importance of effective communication and follow-through in counseling services. While LPCC seems to have provided excellent care and support to one reviewer, the other reviewer's experience was marred by a lack of communication and follow-up.
