Northern Virginia Older Adult Counseling (NOVA OAC) was established in 2016 with the mission of providing counseling services to the older adult population in our community. The practice was founded by a mother-daughter team, a therapist and a health care administrator, who wanted to create a professional counseling service that focused on the unique mental health needs of older adults. Over time, NOVA OAC has evolved into a thriving practice with multiple licensed clinical social workers on staff, and while we continue to specialize in older adult counseling, we also work with younger adult clients as well.
Services
At NOVA OAC, we offer mental health psychotherapy for older adults who may be experiencing emotional distress associated with medical and psycho-social challenges in the aging process.
