Our Specialties
While we work with a number of presenting issues, our areas of clinical focus include:
- Anger and Anxiety issues
- Sexual Addiction
- Trauma
- Marriage Therapy
Anger
Anger is a powerful emotion that lets us know that something matters to us. When not properly contained, anger can be destructive. However, when harnessed properly, it can give us the fuel to accomplish great things. At Dr. Noah Zapf Counseling, we believe that understanding and responding to all of our emotions is essential to properly responding to our anger. If you are ready to learn how to harness your anger for good, please call today.
Anxiety
According to the National Institute of Mental Health, nearly 40 million Americans suffer from an anxiety-related disorder each year. Anxiety can be devastating, but it is treatable. At the root of every anxious thought lies a fear. Once our fears are known and responded to, anxiety can subside. If anxiety has robbed you of the experience of daily living, please call today.
Marriage Therapy
Marriage can be hard, but it doesn't have to be. Negative interaction cycles can make you feel like enemies, but Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) can help. EFT has been found to be effective in 70 to 75 percent of couples, with approximately 90 percent showing significant improvement. The goal of each session is not to solve a fight, but rather, to create an environment when the negative interaction cycle is stopped and replaced with a corrective emotional experience.
Sexual Addiction
Sexual addiction can have a profound impact on an individual's life, as well as the lives of those around them. At Dr. Noah Zapf Counseling, we provide a safe and non-judgmental space for individuals to explore their behaviors and work towards recovery.
Trauma
Trauma can have a lasting impact on an individual's life. At Dr. Noah Zapf Counseling, we use evidence-based treatments, such as EMDR and Brainspotting, to help individuals process and heal from traumatic experiences.
