Transforming Lives Through the Healing Power of Horses

At The Osage Corral, LLC, we are dedicated to providing counseling, social-emotional learning, health, wellness, and enrichment programs for children, adolescents, adults, and families. Our approach is designed to be holistic, taking into account the intricate connections between an individual's physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.

Our Approach

Our program is informed and guided by the latest research in biopsychology and neuroscience as it relates to the developing brain. We believe that new learning and change cannot occur until a child is emotionally, physically, and cognitively regulated. Therefore, helping the child regulate is the first step in our approach. We utilize a range of strategies, including equine-assisted therapy, movement, energy work, and sensory integration techniques, to help children regulate their emotions and behaviors. Our theoretical framework draws from various disciplines, including animal-assisted therapy, sensorimotor psychology, eco-psychology, trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy, sensory integration, gestalt, and other brief solution-focused therapies.

Our Programs and Services

We offer a range of programs and services, including our signature Osage Strong Treatment Team, which provides trauma-focused therapy and equine-assisted psychotherapy. We also provide specialized staff training and barn support, as well as grant-funded programs for at-risk youth. Our programs are designed to help individuals and families overcome a range of challenges, including trauma, anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues.

Safety and COVID-19

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have developed a re-opening protocol that prioritizes the safety and well-being of our clients, staff, and community. Our protocol includes measures such as social distancing, face masks, and hand sanitizer to minimize the risk of transmission. While we understand that some individuals may still choose to opt-out of our services due to concerns about COVID-19, we believe that our protocol minimizes the risk of transmission and provides a safe and supportive environment for those who do choose to participate.

Grant Awards

We are grateful to have received funding from notable organizations, including Epstein Teicher Philanthropies, which awarded us $59,000 to support our trauma-focused programs for at-risk youth. We have also received funding from the Solly and Sammy Foundation for Peace to support specialized staff training and barn support.
