Our Story

John Penn Turner, our founder, has over two decades of experience in the mental health industry. With a Master's degree in Counseling from the Medical College of Virginia, John Penn has worked in various settings, including inpatient and outpatient facilities, and has provided individual and group counseling services to adults and adolescents. His extensive experience has equipped him with the knowledge and skills to address a wide range of issues, including grief, loss, terminal illness, anxiety, depression, and addiction.

Our Certifications and Licenses

John Penn Turner, our founder, is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia, a Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LPCC) in New Mexico, and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). He is also certified in various modalities, including the Grief Recovery Method, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (A*R*T), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
