Services Offered
Our services include individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, and child and adolescent therapy. Our therapists are trained in a variety of evidence-based treatments, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy (TF-CBT). We also offer specialized therapies, such as play therapy for children and adolescents.
In addition to our therapy services, we are proud to offer divorce mediation to couples at any stage of their divorce. Our mediator, David Scheer, is a licensed professional counselor with extensive training and experience in conflict resolution and mediation. He is committed to helping couples navigate the divorce process with dignity, respect, and compassion.
Our Team
David Scheer, a Doctoral Candidate with an M.S. in clinical psychology from PGSP Stanford University Psy. D. Consortium, is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia and Maryland. David has extensive training in treating Post Traumatic Stress, and Substance Use Disorders. He has worked in a Maryland private practice working with couples, families, and individuals from a wide range of ages, ethnicities, and socio-economic backgrounds. Before opening Ivy Road Family Solutions, David spent 2 years in the Charlottesville area, providing attachment therapy to foster parents of children with histories of abuse and other trauma. He is excited to bring these experiences together to provide an integrated model of evidence-based treatments to folks in Charlottesville and the surrounding areas.
Appointment Requests
To schedule an appointment, please fill out our appointment request form. We currently have openings Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 900 AM - 4:00 PM. We also offer evening and Saturday appointments on alternating weeks.
