Empowering addiction professionals to provide compassionate care
As a non-profit organization, IBADCC is dedicated to providing certification for professionals working in the addiction prevention, counseling, and recovery support in the State of Idaho. IBADCC is a member board of the International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium (IC&RC) and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of certification and continuing education requirements for addiction professionals.
Our Purpose
The primary objective of IBADCC is to ensure that certified professionals in the addiction field meet the highest standards of ethics, education, and competency. To achieve this, IBADCC provides a comprehensive certification process that includes a rigorous testing and evaluation process to ensure that certified professionals possess the necessary knowledge, skills, and competencies required to provide quality services to their clients.
Certification Services
IBADCC offers various types of certifications for addiction professionals, including the Advanced Certified Alcohol/Drug Counselor (AADC), Certified Alcohol/Drug Counselor (ADC), Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS), Certified Peer Recovery Coach (CPRC), and Certified Recovery Coach (CRC) certifications. Our certification process is designed to assess the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to provide effective addiction services.
Scope of Practice
Our scope of practice identifies the procedures, actions, and processes that an individual is permitted to perform based on their specific certification. This includes information on the duties and responsibilities of addiction professionals, as well as the behaviors and competencies required to perform their job effectively.
Reciprocity
IBADCC also offers reciprocity, a process that allows professionals to transfer their certifications or licenses between states that are members of the International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium (IC&RC). Reciprocity can be a complex process, and it is essential for professionals to investigate reciprocity prior to relocating to another jurisdiction.
Continuing Education
IBADCC is committed to the continuing education of addiction professionals. We offer a range of continuing education resources, including online courses, workshops, and conferences, to help professionals stay updated on the latest research, techniques, and best practices in the addiction field.
