New Leaf Counseling is a non-profit agency comprised of a collaborative group of Christian counselors dedicated to the reconciliation of relationships and the healing process of individuals. Inconsistencies in Business Integrity
Reviews of New Leaf Counseling have highlighted some serious concerns regarding the business's integrity. One reviewer, Kristyn Smith Antonucci, has expressed strong disappointment and disgust at the fact that the "Biblical Counselor" has a son who was arrested for molesting a seven-year-old child and is still being protected and supported by the counselor.
Positive Experiences
Despite this serious controversy, two reviewers, Steve Ezell and Amanda Pospisil Cook, have shared positive experiences with the counseling services provided by Sean Ruthrauff at New Leaf Counseling. Steve Ezell credits Ruthrauff with helping him recover from addiction, praising his genuine concern and passion for his clients. Amanda Pospisil Cook also highly recommends Ruthrauff's counseling services, saying that he is an excellent counselor who helped her and her husband with their marital issues.
Concerns and Controversy
The controversy surrounding the counselor's son's actions has left a dark cloud hanging over the business's reputation. Kristyn Smith Antonucci's review raises serious questions about the morality and values of the counselor and the business. The fact that the counselor is still supporting his son despite the seriousness of the allegations is a major red flag.
