Our Services
At Hyde Park Virtual Counseling, we offer a range of services to cater to our clients' diverse needs. Our services include:
- Talk Therapy: Online or over-the-phone therapy sessions, designed to help individuals process and explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Sessions are typically weekly or bi-weekly, and each session lasts for 50 minutes.
Insurance and Payment
We accept a wide range of insurance providers, including Ambetter, Anthem, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Buckeye, CareSource, NGS CareSource, United Advantage, and United Health Care. We also accept Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) from various providers, including Anthem, Comprehensive EAP, Curalinc EAP, and Mutual of Omaha. Please note that we are not currently accepting new insurance clients, but we encourage you to reach out to be placed on a waiting list for future openings.
Our Team
Our team of therapists is composed of experienced professionals who are dedicated to providing high-quality care to our clients. Our team members include:
- Melinda Sponseller, LPCC: With over 20 years of experience in the mental health field, Melinda is a licensed professional clinical counselor in Ohio and Kentucky. She specializes in cognitive-behavioral therapy, client-centered, and solution-focused modalities.
- Helen Magers, LPCC: Helen is a trained EMDR therapist who has extensive experience in the treatment of traumatic experiences. She also has extensive experience in the treatment of substance abuse and addictions.
- William "Bill" DeFelice LPCC: Bill is a seasoned therapist who specializes in working with families, couples, and individuals. He has extensive experience in treating a wide range of clinical issues, including anxiety, depression, and relational issues.
Our Vision

Today, our entire practice is online, allowing us to provide greater accessibility and increased equity for our therapists and clients.
