Welcome to our practice! We understand that the decision to pursue therapy can arise from a variety of circumstances, and we commend you for taking the first step towards understanding yourself and improving your life. Our practice is dedicated to providing a safe and compassionate space where you can freely discuss your concerns and receive empathetic, objective feedback.
As a licensed clinical psychologist, I, Cassandra Adams, offer individual psychotherapy to adults aged 18 years and above. My practice is proudly diversity affirmative, and I work with a broad range of clients, valuing respect and compassion for all. Based in Plano, Texas, I serve clients from nearby areas such as Frisco, Allen, The Colony, Carrollton, and Addison. I am experienced in addressing various areas of specialization, including anxiety, depression, anger management, assertiveness training, relationship difficulties, non-traditional relationships, and issues relating to sex and sexuality. I am particularly passionate about working with college and graduate students.
Services
I provide individual psychotherapy services, tailoring the sessions to meet your unique needs and preferences. I offer in-person sessions as well as telehealth sessions, allowing you to choose the format that best suits your therapy requirements. While I am open to having significant others or family members attend occasional sessions, I currently do not provide couples therapy or family therapy.
*Free 15-minute phone consultation*
To help you decide whether I am the right fit for your needs, I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation. During this time, we can discuss the support you're looking for and how I might be able to assist you.
*Fees*
My typical fee is $150 per session, but I also see a limited number of clients on a sliding-scale basis. We will discuss the fee that works best for both of us during our initial consultation. Fees are payable at the end of each session, and I accept cash and credit cards.
*Insurance*
I currently accept Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) and can provide you with the necessary information to submit claims independently. However, I cannot guarantee insurance reimbursement for your sessions, and you should confirm your out-of-pocket costs with your insurance company before scheduling a session. Additionally, depending on your plan, you may require Prior Authorization or have limits on how many sessions will be reimbursed.
*Appointment Changes, Cancellations, & No Shows*
Please provide at least 24 hours' notice for any session changes (cancellations or rescheduling). Sessions cancelled with more than 24 hours notice will not be charged a fee and can be rescheduled as our schedules allow. Late cancellations and no shows will be charged a fee, except in extreme emergencies.

Overall Experience
The reviews highlight two contrasting experiences with Cassandra Adams, a practitioner. One reviewer, Melissa Shelton Dc, had an overwhelmingly positive experience with Cassandra, praising her as an "AMAZING practitioner" who has helped her patients feel listened to and assisted. Melissa has even referred several of her own patients to Cassandra, singling her out for her exceptional skills.
On the other hand, Erin Facey Wishmiss had a disappointing experience with Cassandra. She tried to make an appointment multiple times, but was unsuccessful in getting a call back. This lack of response only exacerbated her initial issues, making her feel frustrated and unheard.
Practitioner's Skill
Cassandra Adams appears to have a commendable reputation among certain patients, as Melissa has referred multiple patients to her and has only positive comments to share about her abilities.
Communication Issues
However, Erin's experience suggests that communication breakdowns may be a concern. Despite repeated attempts to make an appointment, she was unable to get a call back, leading to feelings of frustration and worsening mental health.
