Transforming Relationships, One Conversation at a Time
At Thrive Counseling, we understand that life can be puzzling and often difficult. We believe that everyone deserves a safe, respected, and valued environment where they can begin to figure out what is upsetting them. Our team of experienced and trained therapists are dedicated to helping families become healthy, safe, and stable by providing counseling and psychotherapy, as well as educational and personal support for both children and adults.
Our Approach to Counseling
We believe that the struggles a child, adolescent, parent, or family has make perfect sense given the challenges they have faced. Our therapists take a prescriptive eclectic approach to therapy, utilizing a combination of expressive therapies, particularly play therapy, with cognitive behavioral work and skills training. Our training and experience make us experts in personal challenges, and we are passionate about supporting children and families through their struggles.
Therapy Services
We offer a range of therapy services, including crisis intervention, behavioral therapy, and play therapy, tailored to meet the unique needs of each child, teen, or family. Our therapists are trained to work with children diagnosed with ADHD, ODD, CD, depression, Bi-Polar Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, and Adjustment Disorders. We also have experience working with families who have experienced trauma, abuse, domestic violence, divorce, death, chronic illness, or incarceration.
What Sets Us Apart
At Thrive Counseling, we are committed to providing child-centered, family-focused therapy. Our therapists are trained to work with children of all ages, from toddlers to teenagers, and our services are designed to be tailored to meet the unique needs of each child, family, or couple. We take pride in our compassionate and creative approach to mental health, and our therapists are dedicated to supporting children and families as they navigate life's challenges.
Our Beliefs
We believe that children and adolescents are resilient and have the ability to cope with and overcome challenging obstacles. We believe that given the tools and opportunity to master and understand their experiences, they will thrive. We believe in the importance of personal relationships, including marriage and significant other relationships, and that nurturing and attention are essential for their growth and maintenance. We also believe in the strength of the family system, recognizing that each individual family member plays a crucial role in a family's dynamics and that positive change occurs when all members participate, working together toward a common goal.
