Christian Counseling Services is a faith-based counseling organization that has been serving the Evansville, Indiana community since 1997. Our mission is to provide confidential, professional, and compassionate counseling services to individuals, couples, and families struggling with various life challenges.

Our Approach

At Christian Counseling Services, we believe that God is the ultimate healer and that counseling is a sacred trust. We combine evidence-based psychological techniques with Christian principles and values to promote healing, growth, and wholeness. We recognize that each person's journey is unique and that God is the sole author of our lives. Our approach is centered on guiding individuals through a process of self-awareness, healing, and change, empowering them to experience the abundant life that God desires for them.

Our Services

Our experienced and licensed therapists, Vickie Knowlden LCSW, BCPCC and Ellen Robinson LMFT-A, offer a range of services to address various issues, including:

• Individual Counseling: depression, anxiety, substance abuse, sexual abuse, addictions, marital issues, mood problems, panic attacks, self-harming behaviors
• Couples Counseling: communication, sexual issues, infidelity, infertility, premarital counseling
• Family Counseling: reconciliation, parenting issues, blended families
• Specialized Services: cognitive-behavioral solution-focused, faith-based brief therapy, gestalt therapy

Payment Options

Our fee for service is $85.00 per one-hour session, with additional time charged at a rate of $1 per minute. We do not file insurance, but we provide a claim form with necessary information for out-of-network reimbursement. We also offer partnering options with churches, which underwrite some counseling fees for their members.

Partnership Opportunities

We believe that churches and pastors play a vital role in supporting the emotional and spiritual well-being of their congregants. Our partnership opportunities allow pastors to refer individuals to our trained and licensed therapists, while also providing an affordable counseling option for their members.

Statement of Faith

We believe the Bible is the inspired, authoritative, and infallible Word of God. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His Virgin birth, sinless life, miraculous ministry, atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension, and personal return. We believe that the truth will set us free and that our ultimate goal is to love the Lord with all our heart, soul, and mind and love our neighbor as ourselves.
