Arkansas Psychotherapy Center is a small and comfortable mental health clinic located in Sherwood, AR. Our clinic provides counseling services to children ages 5 and older, adolescents, adults, couples, seniors, and families. We strive to create an atmosphere that is non-judgmental and sensitive to all individuals, regardless of age, race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and religious or political beliefs. Our services include a wide range of therapeutic interventions such as Behavioral Therapy, Short Term Solution Focused Therapy, Relaxation and Stress Management, Anger Management, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or a mixture of several. Our specialties include treatment for Depression and other Mood Disorders such as Bipolar, Anxiety Disorders, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Grief, Eating Disorders, Attention Deficit Disorder, Personality Disorders, and Couples Counseling.

Our staff is friendly and trained to assist you prior to your appointment and will do everything possible to provide you with an appointment as quickly as possible. If you call with an emergency, our staff will screen you for a variety of possible options and immediately contact Patricia for assistance with your situation.

About Patricia

Patricia Scott has been in private practice for 12 years. She is a graduate of both University of Central Arkansas and the University of Arkansas Little Rock. Patricia's specialty is psychotherapy, and she has continued her education by staying abreast of new techniques, while fine-tuning skills and furthering knowledge in her field. She has attended many seminars, conferences, and has worked under Dr. Ken Counts for 5 years before opening her own practice in 2005.

About Our Staff

Like any business, your employees are the ones who keep things running smoothly. Patricia is especially fortunate to have kind and thoughtful individuals working our office. Sarena and Aprille primarily work the front desk, with other family members filling in when needed. Steve works in the background as our billing manager and helps wherever needed. They are well trained to manage any situation that arises and often provide that extra little something to make your experience at APC as smooth as possible.
