Rehabilitation Counselors, Inc. was established in 1978 with the primary objective of providing vocational rehabilitation counseling services to injured workers. Over the years, our reputation in the community has grown, and we have expanded our services to include vocational evaluation and expert witness testimony regarding employment issues in various legal cases, such as Workers' Compensation, SSDI, FELA, Personal Injury, and Spousal Maintenance cases. Our mission is to help individuals achieve a level of functioning that maximizes their vocational potential.

Over the past 40+ years, significant advancements have been made in vocational counseling that now allow us to scientifically match people with jobs and organize these job matches by important vocational factors. This increased understanding about each client's relationship to the employment market provides a strong foundation for vocational counseling services as well as expert witness testimony.

At Rehabilitation Counselors, we offer a comprehensive range of services tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. These services include:

Vocational Assessment

Our vocational assessment package includes a variety of components, which may or may not be applicable to a particular case, and are individualized based on interview information. We offer both record review and personal interview and testing assessments. The personal interview and testing require the client to be in our office for approximately 4 to 5 hours. Our test battery includes achievement, aptitude, interest, and work value assessments. We also measure important vocational traits, such as language development, math development, spatial perception, form perception, clerical perception, and dexterities.

Plan Development and Case Management

Our counselors are highly experienced in assessing employability and implementing plans to assist individuals in securing suitable employment. Our services may include medical management, vocational assessment, job goal selection, vocational training, and job-seeking assistance. Our credentialed QRCs are able to handle Minnesota Workers' Compensation cases and facilitate vocational rehabilitation services according to Department of Labor and Industry regulations.

Expert Witness Testimony

Rehabilitation Counselors provides vocational expert testimony in cases with employability issues. Our experience is extensive, and we have worked on a variety of matters related to Workers' Compensation, Marital Dissolution, Personal Injury, Motor Vehicle Accident, Railroad (FELA), Medical Malpractice, Employment Discrimination, Wrongful Termination, Sexual Abuse, Sexual Harassment, Social Security Disability, American Disabilities Act, and Bankruptcy.
