At our practice, we believe that every individual has the potential to overcome life's challenges and achieve a more fulfilling life. As a licensed therapist, I, Joanne Lindbom, have dedicated my career to helping people of all ages and backgrounds explore their feelings, actions, and relationships in a safe and non-judgmental environment.
My Practice
As a licensed psychotherapist, I have spent many years honing my skills and expertise to provide the best possible care for my clients. With a Master's Degree in Social Work from Hunter College/City University of New York, I have been working as a therapist since 1994. I hold licenses to practice independently in the state of New Hampshire since 2000. My extensive experience has given me the opportunity to work with a wide range of patients, from children to adults, and from diverse backgrounds.
My Experience
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with individuals and families in various settings, including hospitals, clinics, and private practice. My extensive experience has equipped me with the tools to forge meaningful connections with patients and help them navigate life's challenges. I have worked with patients with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship conflicts.
Services
As a therapist, I provide individual, couples, and family therapy sessions. My approach is tailored to each patient's unique needs and goals. I believe that effective therapy is not just about understanding the patient's problems, but also about creating a trusting relationship where the patient feels heard, validated, and empowered to make positive changes in their life.
Why Consider Therapy?
At times, people feel stuck in their lives, and therapy can be a place to explore the parts of their life that they may be ready to change. Whether it's dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, or trauma, therapy can help individuals gain insight into their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and learn new strategies to overcome their challenges.
Types of Psychotherapy
I have been trained in various types of psychotherapy, including psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and humanistic approaches. I believe that each patient is unique, and what works best for one person may not work for another. My approach is to acknowledge each patient's individuality and tailor my therapeutic approach to their specific needs and goals.
What to Expect
When you come to see me for therapy, you can expect a safe and non-judgmental space where you can share your thoughts, feelings, and concerns. I will work with you to understand your goals and develop strategies to help you achieve them. My approach is collaborative, and I believe that the therapeutic relationship is crucial to creating lasting change.
