Empowering individuals to thrive and live their most authentic selves
At Health Allies Counseling, we understand that the journey to wellness is unique to each individual. That's why we've brought together a diverse group of therapists who share a common goal of serving Oregonians looking for a partner in their health. Our team of professionals acknowledges the interconnectedness of body, mind, and soul, and we strive to provide an inclusive and safe space for healing.
We're proud to be an LGBTQIA2S+ focused, trans-affirming, anti-racist, and progressive-leaning practice. Our therapists recognize the importance of addressing the intersecting issues that affect marginalized individuals and communities. Disorganization and Poor Communication
Several reviewers have expressed frustration with the intake process at Health Allies Counseling. The intake process was disorganized, and clients were often told that therapists lacked the "training necessary to see someone with my issue". Reviewers have reported being quoted specific therapists, only to be told later that those therapists were not suitable for their needs. This lack of communication and clarity has led to feelings of frustration, disappointment, and even rejection.
Inadequate Care
Some reviewers have raised concerns about the quality of care provided by Health Allies Counseling. Clients reported being switched between therapists without adequate notice or explanation. One reviewer was told that their therapist was no longer available, only to be offered a new therapist who was out of network. Another reviewer reported being dropped from therapy without explanation or support.
Mixed Experiences
However, not all reviewers have had negative experiences. Two reviewers, Jennifer Creson and Camden Allison-Hall, have praised their therapists and the quality of care they received. Jennifer praised the diverse team of therapists, while Camden raved about her therapist, Valerie Garst, who used EMDR to help her process grief and manage stress.
